The Project Rethinking Entrepreneurship is a project funded under the Atlantic Area INETRREG IVB Programme 2007 -2013.
The Rethinking Entrepreneurship (RethE) project targets the achievement of two distinct objectives:
- To create in the Atlantic Area a network of organizations involved in promoting entrepreneurship which will contribute to lowering the existing differential with other more dynamic parts of the EU.
- To adopt a new model of entrepreneurship with which it will be possible to provide new support services and tools for entrepreneurs and start-ups.
The project fosters the development of the entrepreneurial spirit, a priority objective set out in the Lisbon Strategy.
The project which commenced activity in February 2009 will continue for a period of thirty months.
The South West Regional Authority is one of six transnational partners involved in RethE from five Atlantic Area countries – Spain, Portugal, Brittany, UK and Ireland.
