Regional Population targeted to grow by 644,000 persons by 2020.

The government has published new population forecast data in respect of the region and it is now targeted that the South West will have a population of between 795,000 and 816,900 persons by 2022.

This is an increase of up to 196,000 over that of the present population.

The South West Regional Authority has now consulted and agreed a demographic breakdown of the targeted population across the local authority areas.
